Installation instructions - Windows 10

You need to download the correct drivers for the printer. Version 30.15 (27.9.2017) is also available here UFRII_Driver_V3015_32_64_CZ_11.zip. Or, look for the latest version on the Canon web. The UFR II without the generic word in the name is recommended (it is further on the list of drivers).

  1. Open window "Start" - "Printers & Scanners".
  2. Choose "Add a printer or scanner".
  3. Windows will try to find printers on the netowrk. After few seconds, the The printer that I want isn't listed link appears, click on it. picture
  4. On the next page of the wizard, select Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname. Click Next.
  5. Enter the 10.26.203.34 to the Hostname or IP address: field . Click Next. picture
  6. If windows displays the driver selection window, click Have disk ... and navigate to the directory where you have them extracted. Depending on the Windows version (64b / 32b), select the correct directory. The Inf file will be selected automatically, then click OK. The driver selection window appears, select Canon iR-ADV C3520 UFR II, click Next. picture
  7. You can select own name of the printer in the Printer name field. Click Next. picture
  8. If the printer sharing window appears, select Do not share this printer. Click Next. picture
  9. You can print a test page on the last page of the wizard. Click Finish .

Installation instructions - Linux (Generic)

  1. Driver for the printer is available on the Canon website.
  2. In the system, add the printer according to your distribution. IP address of the printer is 10.26.203.34

Scanner

Scan from the device

There are 2 options for local scanning: Skenovat a odeslat (Scan and send) a Skenovat a uložit (Scan and Save).

Scan and Send

  • Sending is possible only on email within the fzu.cz domain. The email will arrive from scan@fzu.cz with an attachment.
  • Select the option Skenovat a odeslat on the device screen. If your address is in the address book, select Adresář and select your address, otherwise select Nové místo určení, click E-mail and enter your full email address.
  • In the right menu, you can customize the scanning properties, color, dimensions, output file format (JPEG, TIFF, PDF, XPS, OOXML). OCR (Czech) is also available for PDF, XPS, and OOXML.
  • Scanning will be started by pressing green button, the Spustit odeslání button appears, which commplete the scan and send the resulting file.

Scan and Save

Requires to insert external media via USB. The USB port is on the right side of the device, a bit off the screen.
