Directions from nearest public transport

  • By Metro: Take the "C" (red) line to Ládví station and take exit labeled Střelničná, later U Slovanky.
  • By tram: Take the tram number 10, 53 (night) to the Ládví stop. Walk thru the underpass to the left.
  • By bus: Take the bus number 103, 177, 183 to the Ládví stop.

Take Střelničná street to the West, behing the apartment house turn left on the pedestrian path, cross the U Slovanky street diagonally right and follow the pedestrian path along the low houses. The Institute of Physics is on your left.

For air travel

Transportation from the Prague Airport Ruzyně to the Institute of Physics is possible by Taxi or Public transport.

By taxi: travel time to the Institute of Physics is about 45 minutes, and the fare is not more than 600 CZK. Contact counters of taxi operators are located at the arriving hall of Terminal 1 and 2. Departure points are displayed in front of arriving halls. Be sure to take only authorized Taxi providers, and request receipt from the driver.

By public transport: take approximately 50 minutes. The fare is 32 CZK. You can buy ticket from Public Transport counters in Arrival Halls of Terminals 1 & 2 (from 7 am to 10 pm), ticket machines placed at bus stops or from a bus driver (cash required). The Bus stops are located in front of terminal halls. Take the bus number 119 to the Nádraží Veleslavín stop. When you arrive at Nádraží Veleslavín (terminal stop), change to the Metro "A" (green) line. At Muzeum station change to the "C" (red) line and go in the direction Letňany. Then follow the directions above.

For the train journey

From the Praha Hlavní nádraží (Prague main station) or Praha - Holešovice station take the Metro (in the direction of Letňany) and follow the directions above. Travel time to the Ládví station is about 10, and the fare is 24 CZK. You can buy ticket from ticket machines placed at Metro entrances (cash required).
